General Kuno von Wiederhold was Württemberg's Minister of War for the year
leading up to the Austro-Prussian War of 1866. He began his military
service in 1829, serving on the staff of the Quartermaster-General. In 1854,
Wiederhold later was selected to serve as adjutant to Württemberg King Wilhelm
I. Prior to replacing General von Miller as War Minister in 1865, von Wiederhold
also headed up an infantry division and functioned as the Kommandant of
Stuttgart. He later turned down an appeal to head the War Ministry as
Württemberg's armed forces marched into the Franco-Prussian War.
General von Wiederhold passed away in Ludwigsburg in 1885.
