Graf von Arnim-Boitzenburg was a
statesman who briefly served as Prussia's Minister President. He was
born to a noble family just north of Berlin and served in a succession
of minor political postings until 1840 when he became the President of
the Province of Posen. Two years later he was named as Prussia's
Minister of Interior. He also served as a major in the Landwehr
Cavalry. His political career culminated in his appointment as Prussian
Minister President from 19 to 29 March 1848, holding the office for
less than a month. He died in Berlin on 8 January 1868.
