Imperial Prussian General Louis von Mutius was a corps-level
commander during the Austro-Prussian
War of 1866. He joined the 1st Kürassier-Regiment
in 1813 and took part in the War of the Sixth Coalition
of 1813–1814. In 1862, he replaced General von Lindheim as
commander of the VI. Army Corps at its headquarters in Breslau. His
leadership during the Battle of Königgrätz earned
him the Pour le Merite in July 1866. General von
Mutius died of cholera in August of 1866 at Austerlitz.
