(15.09.1868 - 13.02.1945)
place of birth:
 Pirna, Sachsen (Saxony)

Königreich Sachsen:  AK-Stabschef,  Generalmajor

Royal Saxon General Konrad von Koppenfels served primarily as a staff officer during his pre-War career. As Germany invaded Belgium and France, von Koppenfels was functioning as XII. Reservekorps commander Hans von Kirchbach's Chief of Staff. For his exemplary leadership during early battles along the Marne, he was awarded the Ritterkreuz (Knight's Cross) of Saxony's highest military order - the Militär-St-Heinrich-Orden.

Oberst von Koppenfels thereafter was in command of a Saxon reserve regiment for a few months before being transferred back to Dresden to once again work at the Saxon War Ministry. After the War, he served for several years as Senior Commander of the Johanniterorden (Order of St John) but was killed in 1945 during an Allied air strike on Dresden.
