Karl Prinz von Bayern served as a Generalmajor in the Bavarian
Army. He was a member of the Royal House of Wittelsbach as well as a member of
the Bavarian Reichsrat (House of Councilors). Karl was the son of King
Ludwig III and also the younger brother of Crown Prince von Rupprecht.
