Viktor Eugen von Petzel

 Eugen von Petzel served as an officer in the Royal Prussian Army. Prior to the Great War, Petzel deployed to China in 1900 and 1901 with the  Armee-Oberkommando in Ostasien (Field Army China.) He returned to the Far East from 1903 to 1906, when he functioned as commander of 2. Ostasiatische Besatzungs-Brigade. After retiring from active duty in 1910, Generalleutnant von Petzel was brought re-activated upon mobilization in order to command 50th Reserve Division forces engaged in Poland. Petzel relinquished his command in January 1915 and passed away six months later.
